(Event Report) Dialogue with Health Policy Leaders from around Asia (Young Leader’s Program, Nagoya University Graduate School of Medicine)

During the event, HGPI staff provided an overview of HGPI’s work and led a discussion about health policy in Japan, health policy issues, and Japan’s role in global health. The questions and comments from the participants made for a very interesting and valuable session. Participants in the Young Leaders’ Program, high-level health policy leaders of their respective countries, represented nine countries including Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Cambodia, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Myanmar, Bangladesh, and Mongolia.

Nagoya University Graduate School of Medicine hosts this graduate level course that brings health policy leaders of Asian countries to study in Japan for one year. These leaders include government officials and other young professionals who have exhibited leadership potential in the field of health policy.
